Enough Trope rejects the centuries-long literary hierarchy between 'good' reading and 'bad' as not only self-defeating, but contributing to a gap in knowledge and recognition of the value of genre fiction. Enough Trope seeks to address this gap, exploring the rich and vital world of genre fiction.
Our Approach
A careful, critical, informed approach to the genre fiction space: where it has been, where it is now, and where it can go in the future.
We define genre fiction as those fictions with scaffolding: horror, crime, romance, science fiction, and fantasy, but we also recognise the enormous opportunities along the edges and in the liminal spaces where genre often plays.
Thoughtful
Engaging with broad topics or focused deep-dives, Enough Trope provides analysis and reflection of genre fiction, its works, its authors, its culture, and its effect.
Considered
Rigorous and informed, Enough Trope publishes writers in conversation and in community with genre fiction, insiders looking to speak to both genre lovers and the genre curious.
