Submissions Guidelines

Enough Trope is a literary magazine with a focus on Australian genre fictions, including horror, romance, crime, science fiction, and fantasy.

We are interested in commentary or essays of (up to) 1000 words that explore some aspect of the five major genres.
We also accept reviews of upcoming Australian genre fiction of 500 words. Reviews should critically engage with the text and be ready for publication prior to publication date.

Please send through a title and a short blurb, as well as an outline of your proposed piece, including focus and any specific works you will be using as part of your discussion.

Accepted written pieces will receive payment upon publication. There is no payment for podcast guests.

Pitches will receive responses within two weeks. Full submissions will be considered within two months. All submissions will go through an editorial process before publication.
Review pitches will receive responses within two weeks. Full submissions will be considered dependent on the publication date of the reviewed work.
